ArkChemical will act as an operator for the construction of a plant for the processing of heavy oil fractions (naphtha) and the production of polyethylene and propylene.

The enterprise with an area of ​​23.5 hectares will be located on the territory of the FEZ "Karakul" in the city of Karakul (Bukhara region). ArkChemical is a joint project of the Uzbekneftegaz State Corporation and the MTO Gas Chemical Complex.

Oil feedstock will be supplied to the refinery from Uzbekistan GTL. The production capacity of the ArkChemical plant will allow the production of 280,000 tons of polyethylene, 100,000 tons of propylene and 50,000 tons of pyrolysis distillate per year.

Initiated on the basis of a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the project contributes to the creation of 800 new jobs.
