The SEG Enera group of companies has become an official member of the Union of German Economics in Uzbekistan (VDWU). Previously, the Uzbek investment and industrial group had already collaborated with the Union, in September last year it acted as a partner at the organization’s annual assembly in Tashkent.
«The SEG Enera group of companies is interested in developing productive relations with the German business community, including being ready to consider German companies and financial institutions as strategic partners in the implementation of investment projects. We are pleased to join the work of the Union of German Foreign Chambers of Commerce and consider AHK and VDWU as high-status platforms for networking and dialogue on a wide range of issues,»- said Timofey Smirnov, CEO of SEG Enera.
Dilfuzakhon Tajibaeva, executive director of the Union in Uzbekistan, in turn, expressed confidence in fruitful cooperation with SEG Enera, noting the significant potential of the group of companies and progressive approach to project implementation.
“The German Economic Union in Uzbekistan (VDWU) is not only a bridge between German and Uzbek business circles, but also a catalyst for innovation and development, opening up new horizons of opportunity for both countries,” Ms. Tajibaeva emphasized.

The German Economics Club in Uzbekistan (DWK) was founded in 1999. Registered as the Union of German Economics in Uzbekistan (VDWU) in 2022 and unites German companies and organizations that maintain active business relations with Uzbekistan and are mostly permanently present in the country.
The VDWU is under the auspices of the German Embassy in Uzbekistan and organizes its activities in close coordination with the Representative Office of the German Economy in Central Asia (headquarters in Astana).
The union has more than 20 companies - official members, as well as over 50 enterprises as informal members. The Union provides support to Uzbek companies in organizing and holding business meetings and events, participation in industry exhibitions and fairs in Germany, market research, searching for investors, and is also implementing a large-scale project for the development of dual education with the opportunity for employees to undergo training in leading German companies.
